Dark Side of the Mario: Brad Smith's 8-Bit Pink Floyd

You might have thought three-channel MIDI sequencing was dead, but musician and video game developer Brad Smith’s out to change your mind. Last year he released to the Internet a project in the making since 2006: a complete 8-bit, Nintendo-style rendition of Pink Floyd’s classic 1973 Dark Side of the Moon album entitled MOON8. The reworked tracks totally comply with the NES’ standards; these songs might have found their home on any classic Nintendo cartridge if Roger Waters and David Gilmour hadn’t written them first.

According to his website, Smith’s an accomplished pianist, trombonist and singer in addition to being a gaming professional, making him uniquely suited for a task of this nature. Thus far, Smith says he has no solid plans to sequence another album, although he mentions that if he ever does revisit the concept, Steely Dan’s Aja and Nine Inch NailsThe Downward Spiral are likely candidates. The notion of hearing a Trent Reznor composition NES-style is pretty exciting, isn’t it? Until then, think about what a Pink Floyd soundtrack might have added to Nintendo sci-fi classics like Galaga or, um, Paperboy…but in Space!

Here’s the 8-bit “Money” with Super Mario Bros.-style coin sound effects. Head to Smith’s website to check out the rest!

Humanity comes to the end due to marketing?

Recently i watched that video, after some minutes a horrible thought was spinning into my head.Imagine people stop walking and use this for simple and natural moving needs?I suppose that this will have a great impact on our body, and for what?Do we need to get rid of walking?NO.
Big coorporations lucks of ethical marketing technics, they do not point their investments to balanced solutions helping humanitys future rather than spending millions of dollars creating unnecessary gadgets which some of them my have destructive effects in our biological existance.Goverments have no role to that and this is dissapointing too,how do they allow poor citizens strugle everyday for survivor and the same time some basterds of moneymaking spend millions to junk and dangerous investments?

The Model Kraftwerk

The Model Kraftwerk

Lyrics and info about Kraftwerk

She's a model and she's looking good
I'd like to take her home that's understood
She plays hard to get, she smiles from time to time
It only takes a camera to change her mind

She's going out tonight, loves drinking just champagne
And she has been checking nearly all the men
She's playing her game and you can hear them say
She is looking good, for beauty we will pay

She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera she gives the best she can
I saw her on the cover of a magazine
Now she's a big success, I want to meet her again

Raining Pleasure-A great greek rock band.

Raining Pleasure(download link) is an Indie / Rock band originating from Patras, Greece, often credited with spearheading the newest wave of Greek bands with English lyrics [1]. The band was formed in September 1990 under the name "Rest in Peace". A year after their formation the band started appearing live locally. In 1992, they changed their name to Raining Pleasure and started touring Greece. In 1994, the band self-recorded and released a demo of their work (limited to 160 copies); since then, most of its songs have been rerecorded and included in their studio albums. For two more years, the band continued touring Greece and, in 1996, had three of its songs released through Pop & Rock 's magazine compilation Dytiki Akti '96.

Near the end of 1996, the band signed a contract with Lazy Dog Records based in Thessaloniki; in early 1997, they released their first full length studio album Memory Comes Back which was well-received from the independent press at the time. Their second release, Nostalgia, appeared in August 1998 also under the Lazy Dog banner. Raining Pleasure had the chance that two of their songs be included in two compilations produced by the European collaboration of great radio stations. Also in 1998, one of the issues of the greek fanzine Fractal Press included a 7inch vinyl single including the songs "Winters of Waiting" and "Love" (both recorded during the Memories Come Back sessions but left out of the record).

In fall 2000, Raining Pleasure signed a contract with Chrysalis Records, originally obtaining the label as an imprint for their Minos EMI releases. This made them one of the relatively few English-speaking band in Greece to sign with a multinational record company (the short list includes Closer, Ziggy Was, and, predating them both, The Last Drive). However, no albums were released by Chrysalis Records while under contract and subsequent releases were only available in foreign markets as imports. Around April 2001, the band recorded and released the EP Capricorn before returning to the studio to record their third full length studio album, their first for a major label.

Crysis 2 great news!!!!!

I am looking forwrd for crysis 2 game...Some photos and trailer below:

Crytek is aiming to explore new ground in more ways than one. The German developer originally made a name for itself with 2004's Far Cry, a gorgeous first-person shooter that used its lush tropical setting to push the levels of modern PC graphics into truly impressive territory. It was a similar story three years later with Crysis, another critically acclaimed shooter that combined postcard visuals with free-form sandbox gameplay. But rather than go for a hat trick of PC shooters largely set in wild jungles, Crytek is taking a different path with Crysis 2. This sequel will take you to the streets of New York City, and beyond that, it will also mark Crytek's cross-platform debut.
